Medical Tips

1) If you are keeping your Aetna Insurance while you travel: Call On-Call International from your location anywhere in the world.  If you need them to transport you to another facility for treatment, etc that is their job. Otherwise, have them put you in contact with Aetna in the US to report your emergency and to explain what medical forms need to be faxed to Aetna to begin processing a reimbursement. (Typically they will want the receipt of payment, a detailed doctor's description of your situation and treatment, and a receipt from the pharmacy - if you purchased anything else).

2) Once you fax forms to Aetna, it takes about 1 month - 45 days for reimbursement. You must pay out of pocket for the medical treatment abroad and then Aetna will reimburse you the total amount minus the co-payment.

** If you are using Harel/Shiloach - call them as well, we unfortunately found them difficult to work with in this particular situation.
